FREE Manicure in Hollywood Thursday June 10th
Obviously this doesn't apply to all of us...BUT if you are driving distance from Hollywood, CA you might want to consider visiting Central Courtyard, Hollywood & Highland Center (6801 Hollywood Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA) on Thursday June 10th between 9am and 8pm.
As a part of their “Color That Cares” campaign, Sally Hansen is offering free manicures this Thursday, June 10th, at the Central Courtyard in the Hollywood & Highland Center.
Partnering with DKMS, the world’s largest bone marrow donor center, Sally Hansen hopes to raise awareness and increase donor registry for leukemia and blood cancer patients. By swabbing the inside of your cheek, you can enter the donor registry and help patients find their best available match. Visitors who get “swabbed” will even receive a free bottle of the new Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure polish.
Free Nail Polish AND helping people :) Sounds great to me!!!

Disney Store: Character Flip Flops: $2.99!!!

If you remember a few days ago I told you about the Disney Flip Flops sale. I just got my order today and they are TOOO CUTE. Bad news? My daughters Minnie Mouse flip flops only JUST fit her even though I ordered a 10. She takes after her mama I guess ;)
So I am thinking about placing another order and squirreling them away for next summer. I ordered 2 pair and with shipping my order was less than $10.00!!!
HERE is the link to go check the sale out.
Shoes that they have left include:
Minnie Mouse flip flops for toddler - $2.99
Tinker Bell flip flops for girls - $2.99
Princess Sandals for girls - $12.50 (not included in sale)
Buzz Lightyear flip flops for boys - $2.99
Mickey Mouse flip flops for Toddlers - $2.99
Lightning McQueen Flip flops for Boys - $2.99
Finding Nemo flip flops for toddlers - $2.99
Tinkerbell Sandals for Girls - $12.50 (not included in sale)
Wall*E flip flops for Boys - $2.99
Handy Manny flip flops for Toddlers - $2.99
Did you order any shoes last time? Do you plan to order any this time??? I'm undecided if I'm going to order this time. I'm thinking Finding Nemo or mickey mouse for lil man for next year (just order them a few sizes too big) and I'm thinking Tinker Bell flip flops for the girl.

MoneyMaker on Combat at Publix!!
This week at Publix you can make a little cash (in the form of overage - obviously they won't hand you back the physical cash) and get some bug killer in the process. Don't need it? That's fine - I'm sure there are lots of places you can donate it. If you still aren't convinced - think of it this way - Publix will give you $1+ off of your order if you simply walk out of the store carrying this item. SO whether or not you need it...it helps you ;)
Here is the scenario:
$3.49 or $3.99 (Combat Roach or Ant Killer)
-$3.00/1 Publix Coupon (Yellow Advantage Buy Flyer - found on the rotating rack at the front of your store)
-$2.00/1 Printable coupon HERE
leaves you with -$1.01 or -$1.51 balance. If you only have one computer be sure to print that coupon twice and pick up two boxes. (you'll need 2 store coupons from advantage buy flyers but those are at the front of the store)
Happy Shopping!
thanks a few shorts

REVIEW + GIVEAWAY: Alternative ABC's
I am a different mom....I am not a soccer mom. My children consider tattoos and piercings normal. I have tattoos. The girl has been known to rock out to Pink and Rage Against The Machine. For example...on the phone one day with a friend of mine, I said I was going to get brownies out of the oven and finish dinner and he said "I just can not picture you being Holly Homemaker, baking brownies, wearing an apron and all of that."
Thanks Josh...really.
So, when the opportunity to preview this book arose I JUMPED at it because I love things that are "different" from the norm. This book is such a fun departure from your typical kids ABC's book. We all three LOVE this book. We read it every night before we go to bed.
Aesthetically borrowing from street, surf, skate, and music subcultures, the custom design and typography beautifully spell out this unique alphabet. From Calligraffiti to Pin-Striping, and from Goth to Punk, this little book crosses genres and is sure to create a buzz.
You know what I think but what do the kids think???
The kids reading in the tent. This is a very common sight at my house. They climb in there and Sissy "reads" to her brother. He was sick the day this picture was taken. That's why he won the bottle battle ;)
Good Luck to all of you!!!
