Cheap Cheater Chicken Pot Pie

Okay...so i have a cheap, quick chicken pot pie recipe for you :)

2 cans of Progresso soup "Chicken Pot Pie Style" (I think i paid 40¢ per can at publix on sale)
1 can pillsbury crescent rolls
1 TSP Corn Starch dissolved in a little cold water (Optional! only if you just love your chicken pot pie filling thick thick)

*Preheat your oven to 375.
*Cook the soup either in the microwave or on the stove until it's hot to give it a head start.
*Stir in the corn starch if using
*Pour into an unprepared casserole dish - i used a flat tart dish for more surface area..it's 8x11
*Lay your crescent rolls flat across the top of the soup, try not to overlap if possible.
*Bake at 375 Until the top is brown and crusty - I baked it for like 18 minutes but YMMV.

You could modify this by preparing the bottom of t he dish with some non-stick spray and laying some crescent roll on the bottom then putting t he soup in.

Larger crowd? No problem! use a bigger casserole dish, more crescent rolls and more soup!!! :)
Remember to always stock up on soup when it's on sale and your budget will allow. You can get really creative with it! :)
