MoneyMaker on Combat at Publix!!

This week at Publix you can make a little cash (in the form of overage - obviously they won't hand you back the physical cash) and get some bug killer in the process.  Don't need it? That's fine - I'm sure there are lots of places you can donate it.  If you still aren't convinced - think of it this way - Publix will give you $1+ off of your order if you simply walk out of the store carrying this item.  SO whether or not you need it...it helps you ;)

Here is the scenario:
$3.49 or $3.99 (Combat Roach or Ant Killer)
-$3.00/1 Publix Coupon (Yellow Advantage Buy Flyer - found on the rotating rack at the front of your store)
-$2.00/1 Printable coupon HERE

leaves you with -$1.01 or -$1.51 balance.  If you only have one computer be sure to print that coupon twice and pick up two boxes. (you'll need 2 store coupons from advantage buy flyers but those are at the front of the store)

Happy Shopping!

thanks a few shorts

BP Giftcard deal coming for Publix

Hey! There is this super awesome rumor going around that there is a deal coming to Publix where you can get $10.00 off of your purchase of a $50.00 BP Gift card when you buy $25.00 worth of groceries.

If I am not mistaken, in the past that $25.00 can also be before coupons ;)

I heart Publix also has a very rare super early ad up on her site here right now but this is just rumored- no ad in hand but you could start piecing together deals.

Here is a suggestion if you have the cash in your budget:

$25.00 worth of groceries
$50.00 GiftCard
-$10.00 Coupon for Giftcard
-your coupons
=$65 - your coupons. If you go for just the Freebies or have $20 worth of coupons then you will have paid $45.00 for $50.00 worth of gas and $25.00 worth of groceries.

Plan to spend $100.00 (before coupons) for your grocery trip this week???

IF you have the mad money - break that up into 4 orders and for sake of argument if they are all the same as above then you COULD spend $180.00 for $200 worth of gas and $100 worth of groceries. I sure wish I could do that but I can't.

Remember - because of the way Publix's computer system works, This will work out a little bit differently with Food Stamps.

$25.00 in food.
+$50.00 BP Gas card
-$10.00 BP Gas card
-$20.00 coupons for the food. (sake of argument again)
$75.00 - $30.00 = $45.00 in CASH that will have to come out of your pocket instead of just the $40.00

Again - if you have the cash available (Income tax refunds anyone?) I highly recommend doing this. it means you save 80% on your gas :

Terrific deal on Nestle Good Start Formulas at Publix starting today or tomorrow

My son uses Nestle Good Start (The Green can :( ) Why frownie face? Because it's expensive!!! ($27.99 for the 25 oz can and $17.49-ish for the 12 oz can) My son goes through 12 of the smaller cans a month. Do the math on that one and you will understand why I am happy to encourage his love of solid foods!!!

(for the math challenged and the lazy that is $209.88 a month)

So I am sure you can see why I would be excited by this!!! I just got back from Publix and wanted to share this with you...

In the new weekly ad (1/20 or 1/21) Publix has a -$5.00 in ad coupon on Nestle Good Start formula this week. It is a STORE coupon. This means if you have any manufacturer coupons that you can pair those with this store coupon to save some cash!!!

Some folks are lucky enough to get the $10.00 checks from Good Start (I can't figure out how to get on that mailing list :( ) You know? That makes this an incredible deal (especially if you use the green can)

...but for the rest of us...

The cans at my publix have $3.00/1 peelies on them. So I did this:

$27.99 Nestle Good start protect + b
$27.99 Nestle Good start protect + b
$55.98
-$5.00 (Store coupon)
-$5.00 (Store Coupon)
-$3.00 (MFG Coupon)
-$3.00 (MFG coupon)
$39.98 for 50 oz of formula.
$19.99 each

So I paid $2.00 more for a 25 oz can of formula than I would for a 12 oz can.

For those of you who can use the orange can....this is an EVEN BETTER deal!
The $5.00 off coupon works ONLY on the 25 oz cans and the $3.00 peelie works on 12 oz cans or larger.

Enjoy!!

50¢/1 Rotel Coupon + FREE MUIR GLEN tomato sauce & More

Okay Here are a few deals for you :)

There is currently a Ro*tel coupon out for 50¢ / 1 can which is HUGE - normally these sell for right around $1.00 so it should make for free or pennies for Ro*tel!!!!!

Check it out - here is the link - this is a smartsource link. Be sure to use your back arrow and print it twice :)

***

Publix has a completely amazing coupon out as an in-ad coupon (Means it's printed in the store ad which is conveniently located at the front of the store in STACKS!) The text of the coupon is as follows:

-$4.00 Off the purchase of Four (4) General Mills or Nature Valley Products, Assorted Varieties, 5-oz pkg or larger. Limit one deal per coupon per customer. (valid for the ad date)

Well you can go here to see a list of General Mills products.

MANY MANY great options for this - please hippity hop over to our gal-pal Iheartpublix.com's website and check out her post on the matter. It's located here.

Someone suggested a great way to get overage would be to use 4 $1/1 Muir Glen Coupons along with the $4/4 in-ad coupon. You could get some incredible overage that way since normally if you get the muir glen tomato sauce you get .11 overage.

My plan this week at Publix involves 4 of these coupons and 16 free cans of Muir Glen Tomato sauce. I may order more - and this of course depends on how many they have on the shelf. If they only have 16 out then i may ask if they have more in the back and get some but if not then i'm totally going to just take 4-8. Be courteous guys :)
Okay I have a couple more posts to make then i *HAVE* to go to publix.

Starbucks candy on clearance at Publix in Mount Juliet

I don't know if you will find this true at your Publix if you are close enough to Mount Juliet to make it to the Publix at the corner of Mount Juliet Road and Lebanon Road today there were a whole bunch of boxes like the ones above on clearance for 2 / $3.37 and here is the cool part....there are $1.00 coupons in the boxes....
If you have patience enough to stand there and open them to get the coupons out (don't use the coupon on the box you are buying though!!)
That means you can get this high priced chocolate for 69¢ a box.
There were also VERY BIG boxes of Dove Chocolates on clearance 2/$9.xx but i'm too cheap to buy that.
There are some gillette fusion razors and several other items - some crest pro-health and some colgate toothpaste. I don't have my coupons organized yet so I wasn't able to snag a ton of stuff like normal :(

Because I know many of you are new to the couponing thing I want to highlight this deal for you from the Publix matchups... Here is a paint-by-number deal idea guys :)
*EDIT* I pulled this and am republishing it because I made mistakes and want you to benefit from my mistakes & don't want you to be penalized. I am going to highlight the parts that have changed in ORANGE.

I do also want to point out that you could print 2 of the 5/20 FLIPS and you and a friend go through the line (hosting a big labor day cook off?) and print 4 of the 6.00 pork coupon then print the .75 glad item coupon and buy glad straws (Bc they are cheap) or if you have the insert coupons for the free BBQ Sauce when you buy kingsford charcoal that works too...
and if you have the grilling booklet from publix or more manufacturer coupons for the charcoal....you get the idea..
The glad straws are .69 each...so that would be a good transaction...
