I wish you a Merry Christmas (Toy Deals!)

Okay...So apparently there is an INCREDIBLE deal at Kmart right now...see all that stuff in the picture there? My friend Michelle (yes of course I Heart Publix & I heart Saving Money - who else do I blog-stalk every day!? hehe!) Got all of this stuff in the picture above for JUST OVER $26.00!!!!!

Can you say incredible? Michelle's post about it is here. Kmart is running a catalina coupon promotion for leapfrog items. Apparently when you buy a leapfrog item you get a $5.00 Catalina!

What's a catalina coupon?? At most stores now (most notably: Kroger and Walgreens) When you buy particular items coupons come out of those machines at the registers. Sometimes it is an advertised deal and sometimes it is unadvertised. I have noticed at Kroger that they market to me now. As SOON as my card is scanned I almost ALWAYS get a BOGO coupon for the pediasure or boost for kids supplements OR for formula. Well in this case it's dependant on what you buy - When you buy a leapfrog item it spits out a $5.00 coupon!!

(I am going to explain this in a very basic manner because MANY of my readers are brand new to couponing and when I was 'new' I HATED for people to just blow past concepts!)

You have to roll the catalinas. This means you cannot just walk up and plop your entire purchase on the counter!! This is super important!

You will have to do multiple transactions unless you are only buying one item.

Buy 1 leapfrog item.

Get back $5.00 Catalina

Next order:

Buy 1 leapfrog item.
Get back $5.00 catalina

and so on.

Anyway - you keep going till you have all of your purchases. This is such a cool deal guys - I am so excited about it.

This would really be a frugal way to get your small children or grandchildren (or angel tree children!) some NICE Christmas gifts...even if your kid is a toddler or baby but would use it within the next year - it would be worth it to pick up and save for their birthday if they have a summer birthday or for next Christmas....

Unfortunately the girl let me look in her throat earlier and she has very swollen tonsils so I guess we'll be going to the doctor tomorrow and will get a late start on kmart. Hopefully the shelves aren't cleared by the time I get there. Normally I wouldn't care, but the girl's birthday is coming up at the end of next month and then Christmas.

Either way - there will always be other deals. This is just the one time I REALLY wish I could split myself in half. :)
